Saxifraga Alpino Deep Rose

Saxifraga Alpino Deep Rose

Compact and mat-forming, Saxifraga ‘Alpino Deep Rose’ is a mossy saxifrage with tight evergreen cushions of foliage topped by deep rose-pink blooms in spring. It’s ideal for rock gardens, wall crevices and the front of borders, thriving in cool conditions with moist but well-drained, humus-rich, moderately fertile soil. Best in light shade, it will also grow in sun if the soil does not dry out. Fully hardy and reliable for Irish gardens, it provides neat, long-lasting groundcover and a bright spring display.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
