Lychnis viscaria Snow Cloud

Lychnis viscaria Snow Cloud

Lychnis viscaria ‘Snow Cloud’ is a clump-forming perennial prized for its clean white early-summer blooms held on upright stems above narrow green foliage. Best in full sun and a well-drained, moderately fertile soil, it’s a neat, reliable choice for the front or middle of a sunny border in Irish gardens, where its airy flowers mix easily with cottage-style perennials and attract pollinating insects. Deadhead spent stems to encourage a longer display and keep plants tidy; divide congested clumps in spring to maintain vigour.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
