PODOPHYLLUM Spotty Dotty

PODOPHYLLUM Spotty Dotty

Podophyllum ‘Spotty Dotty’ is a striking woodland perennial prized for its bold, umbrella-like, heavily mottled foliage that emerges in spring and forms an architectural clump through the growing season. Nodding, deep red flowers appear in late spring beneath the leaves, adding a subtle, exotic touch. Best in partial to full shade with a moisture-retentive, humus-rich, preferably acid to neutral soil, it appreciates consistent moisture and summer mulch. Ideal for shaded borders and woodland-style plantings, where its dramatic leaves partner beautifully with ferns and hostas.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
