Syringa meyeri Palibin

Syringa meyeri Palibin

Syringa meyeri ‘Palibin’ is a compact, slow-growing, deciduous lilac valued for its neat, rounded habit and richly fragrant panicles of pale lilac‑purple flowers in late spring to early summer. Ideal for small gardens and sunny borders in Ireland, it performs best in full sun or light shade and in moderately fertile, well‑drained, neutral to alkaline soils (including chalk). Fully hardy, it typically reaches about 1–1.5m in height with a slightly wider spread over time; prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and remove faded blooms.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
