Spiraea japonica Firelight

Spiraea japonica Firelight

Spiraea japonica Firelight is a compact, deciduous shrub forming a neat mound and bearing flattened clusters of small pink flowers in summer. Well suited to Irish gardens, it performs best in full sun or light shade in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil, making a reliable choice for low borders, edging, or mass planting. Prune in late winter or early spring to encourage vigorous new wood for flowering, and keep watered during establishment; otherwise it is straightforward and fully hardy.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
