PITTOSPORUM tenu.Bannow Bay 3L

PITTOSPORUM tenu.Bannow Bay 3L

Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Bannow Bay’ is a compact, evergreen shrub valued for its neat, bushy habit and variegated green-and-cream foliage that provides year-round interest. In late spring to early summer it bears small, purple flowers that are sweetly scented in the evening, though often discreet among the leaves. For Irish gardens, grow in full sun or light shade in a sheltered position, in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Ideal for adding structure to mixed borders or forming low, informal hedging; prune lightly after flowering if shaping is required.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
