Philadelphus cor. Aureus 3L

Philadelphus cor. Aureus 3L

Philadelphus coronarius ‘Aureus’ (golden mock orange) is a bushy, medium-sized deciduous shrub valued for its golden-yellow foliage and profuse, single white, very fragrant flowers in early summer. Ideal for bringing light to mixed borders and for planting near paths or seating where the scent can be enjoyed, it thrives in fertile, well-drained soil in sun or light shade (foliage colour often looks best with some light shade). Prune after flowering to maintain shape and promote flowering wood for the following year. Fully hardy in Ireland.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
