Taxus baccata 120 CM CONE C40
Taxus baccata (English yew) is a dense, long‑lived evergreen conifer that clips exceptionally well into strong shapes. Trained here into a crisp cone, it provides year‑round structure for entrances, terraces and formal planting. It thrives in sun or deep shade on well‑drained soils, including chalk, is slow growing, and responds well to regular trimming; once established it will tolerate dry shade. Female plants may produce ornamental red arils in autumn if not clipped at that time. An ideal choice for formal and architectural designs, avenues and containers, and fully hardy across the UK.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
