Ilex cre. Jenny P21 Pyr. 55cm
Ilex cre. Jenny P21 Pyr. 55cm
Ilex crenata 'Jenny' is an evergreen Japanese holly with tiny, glossy green leaves that clip beautifully into neat shapes, making it an excellent alternative to box for formal topiary and low, structural planting. It grows slowly and densely, ideal for maintaining a crisp pyramid form. In late spring to early summer it bears small, white flowers, which may be followed by small black berries if pollinated. Best in sun or light shade, in moist but well-drained, preferably acidic soils; fully hardy and well-suited to formal and architectural garden settings.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
