Ilex Crenata Kinme Bonsai Bowl

Ilex Crenata Kinme Bonsai Bowl

Ilex crenata 'Kinme' is a dwarf, evergreen Japanese holly prized for its very small, glossy green leaves and naturally dense, compact habit—ideal for refined bonsai work and precise clipping. Slow-growing and fully hardy, it does best in moist, well-drained, preferably acidic soils, in full sun or light shade. Tiny white flowers appear in late spring; on female plants, these may be followed by small black berries if pollinated. This bowl-trained specimen offers year-round structure and suits patios, courtyards, and formal or Japanese-style garden schemes.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
